Going Beyond the Classroom

Our Athletic Program

Our athletic program consists of competition with other private schools in our area. A nominal fee will be charged for extramural sports to cover the cost of referees and officials. Students in grades 6 – 8 will have the opportunity to compete against other schools in soccer, volleyball, basketball, and track.

All students must have a current sports physical on file in order to participate. 5th graders may be invited to participate, as needed, at the discretion of the athletic director. The sports schedule is as follows:

Fall // Co-Ed Soccer & Girls’ Volleyball
Winter // Girls’ & Boys’ Basketball
Spring // Co-ed Track & Field-Spring

The athletic program at St. Paul is designed to allow students to use their God-given abilities in an athletic forum. Our program encourages students to develop a life-long enjoyment of and participation in athletics. The program constitutes an opportunity to experience Christian learning, growth, and development beyond the normal school day. Therefore, participation in the St. Paul athletic program is a privilege.

Amplify: A Gathering for Middle School Students

Our students love to work hard and pray hard

Middle School Ministry meets twice a month for Amplify: a time of games, prayer and building friendships. This is a great space for students to be social and practice praying for the needs of others.

We play a variety of games at Amplify. From hockey, soccer, and dodgeball to Menke Ball, family and the couch game, there’s a mix of activities, sports and party games. After our game time, everyone splits off into partners to learn each other’s prayer needs. The last minutes of Amplify are spent taking these requests to the Lord.

Amplify begins at 3:31p outside the main St. Paul entrance, while parent pick up happens at 4:30p at the downstairs entrance. Running around and playing games is only part of our ministry effort to middle school students. We believe God has called them to be influencers in His Kingdom.

Running Club

A great opportunity to get our students moving

St. Paul offers a running club for grades K – 8th and parents, called Run4theOne, to help achieve physical fitness goals. Run4theOne will be held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday each week from 7:25-7:50 am. Participants can either run or walk inside the gym.

Each person registered will have their laps continuously tracked via StrideTracker, a software system designed for tracking laps and maintaining running records for each student. Awards will be given for 5 Mile Club, 13.1 Half Marathon Club, 26.2 Marathon Club, 50 Mile Club, and so on. Each registered member will receive a login to StrideTracker where mileage can be tracked.

Parent Volunteers will be needed to help with morning drop offs, scanning the runners, monitoring the time, etc. If you are able to help, please email us!
