I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139:14
The purpose of our program is to empower our students with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to live a healthy lifestyle. Our classes will provide as much opportunity for movement as possible in a positive, encouraging environment that promotes life-long physical activity.
Lessons are tailored to develop all five areas of child development: intellectual (body part identification, movement/sports terminology, etc.), physical (locomotor/non-locomotor movements, etc.), social (cooperative play), emotional (feelings of accomplishment/disappointment, etc.), and moral (good sportsmanship.)
Students can expect to gain an understanding and practice of self-discipline, teamwork, creativity, responsibility, safe choices, strategic identification and implementation, assessment and evaluation, and an appreciation for movement through a variety of sports and games.
Individually and as a class, we will practice and improve our agility, balance and coordination, body composition, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, muscular endurance, muscular strength, power, reaction time, and speed.
We will play safely, learn together, and have fun!
